Marcell Earring Collection

$15.00

This collection isn’t about loss as much as it is about continuation. About marking time. About love that doesn’t stop just because life changed shape. It’s been 20 years since my brother was murdered, and I’m not sure it ever truly gets easier. I’ve just found outlets for my grief, which allows for periods of respite, but it hurts as deep as it did in 2006.

Built from a cohesive blend of semi-precious stones chosen for balance, protection, truth, renewal, and joy. Each bead carries its own energy, but together they tell a fuller story… one of steadiness through change, warmth alongside grief, and love that continues to move and evolve.

Grounding stones like black jasper and dyed serpentinejasper form the foundation of the collection, offering stability, protection, and a sense of being held. Green jade brings continuity and heart-centered balance, honoring love that endures across time. Amazonite and turquoise support emotional clarity and honest expression, bridging what we feel with how we move through the world. Serpentine jasper introduces gentle transformation, growth that happens without force, while sunstone adds light, warmth, and celebration.

The accent beads, gold, pink, cream, and white, soften and elevate the collection’s energy.

  • Gold accents represent value, endurance, and legacy; what remains precious over time.

  • Pink accents carry love, tenderness, and emotional warmth, honoring connection.

  • Cream accents ground the collection in gentleness, balance, and ease.

  • White accents offer clarity, openness, and space to breathe.

These accents act as light between the stones, reminding us that even in grounded work, there is beauty, softness, and room for grace.

No single stone dominates. Each one supports the others, the way community does. Together, these stones create an energetic harmony. Every pair in the Marcell Collection holds the same conversation: strength without hardness, joy without pressure, and love that continues forward.

I know I’m hella late to the party but jewelry has become a way I process grief and memory, a way to find joy where there is none. It started with a necklace holding my dad’s ashes. I took him everywhere with me and I got sad because I couldn’t do that with Bud. Once I learned how to make my own jewelry, I realized it’s something small but significant that I can hold, wear, and carry forward without having to explain myself.

Using my brother’s middle name for inspiration, every pair in this collection was made slowly and intentionally. No replicas. No restocks. Each pair stands on its own, representing each year he should’ve still been here. My brother has now been gone longer than we had him here on earth. That has induced some new feelings that I am hoping are reflected in the variety. Some feel bold. Some feel quiet. Some feel playful. Some feel steady. That’s intentional. My brother was the first artist I knew. He taught me how to love hard even when you don’t get along, live in the present moment because the next one isn’t promised, and most importantly to live authentically regardless of who approves. I hope you enjoy. I Am My Brothers Keeper.
